At 14 years old, Joeziel ran away from North Philadelphia to Youngstown, Ohio. At the Youngstown State University law library, he first read about the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

3½ Years in the Pennsylvania Prison Law Library

While incarcerated in Pennsylvania, Joeziel spent 3½ years in the prison law library. He represented himself, got 34 charges dismissed, and fired his public defender. He mastered the FCRA, FDCPA, TCPA, TSR, CROA, Habeas Corpus, and Pennsylvania and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
